If you had followed my post about my daughter who was diagnosed with lymphadenopathy, I am so glad to tell you that we had a ‘fantastic’ result. She is having glandular fever and not cancer. So what is glandular fever?
They are a type of viral infection that mostly affects young adults. Common symptoms include fever, a sore throat and extreme tiredness (fatigue).
A month ago, Ms C had a week of fever and sore throat. It never occurred to us that it could have been glandular fever. Apparently there are no specific treatments for glandular fever, you can only relieve the symptoms. Read more here.
Now we have to monitor her lumps and hope they resolve. It could take weeks or even up to 18 months. Thanks to everyone for their kind comments!
