When is the last time you cleaned your windows? I have to be honest that it has been almost a year since I cleaned ours! I do hate cleaning windows as it takes a long time to do properly. Firstly, you have to wash it with warm soapy water, then wipe the water away and finish by using a dry cloth to make sure there is no water mark left on the window. In the end, I will end up with 2 buckets of water, 2 cloths and maybe a paper towel!

Stapleless Chinese New Year Lantern
In these coming months, I will be partnering with a few major retailers for the National Stationery Week (27 April – 3 May 2015) to get Britain writing, and to focus on the importance of handwriting.
This week I have received this staple free stapler from KOKUYO, Japan’s leading stationery brand. Harinacs staple free stapler holds sheets of paper without using metal staples (maximum of 6 sheet of paper at a weight of 80 gsm). This innovative and quirky stapler comes in three different designs and in a range of fun colours; including pink, blue, green, brown, white and black. They are available to buy from www.stonegift.com. So I am using Harinacs staple to make a stapleless Chinese New Year lantern.
FoodSaver FFS002 Review
There are many times that I find using a ziplock bag to store food is not ideal because they tear easily in the freezer (especially those bought from cheap stores and of poor quality) or they don’t keep the food fresh at all. So having seen the FoodSaver demonstration at the Home Show, it made me wonder if I really needed one for my family.
After giving it much thought, the answer is yes. It’s helpful in a number of ways – it helps keep food fresh for a very long time, it can also be a space saver for your fridge or freezer, it means you cook only the portion that you need and you can also boil the bag in low temperature.
Bosch Athlet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Review
Bosch have just made cleaning so much easier and convenient by vacuuming on the go without having to find a power point. The Athlet is Bosch’s first range of cordless upright vacuum cleaners. Currently, they have two model which are the 18V BCH61840GB in black colour and 25.5V BCH625KTGB in white colour.
I have received the 18V BCH61840GB to try it out. My first impression of the vacuum cleaner is that it looks very stylish and of course cordless! How many times have you found that your vacuum cleaner cord gets caught under a door, tangled up or is simply not long enough?
Inside the box, it comes with four items which is the handle, the body, the suction head and a charger with instructions. It took me under a minute to fix the whole vacuum cleaner together. Easy peasy.
Aqua Optima Water Filter Review
I was brought up in Singapore and used to drink from the tap as we had soft water and so had less limescale. Since moving to the UK, I have always lived in hard water areas. As I found out, the hardness of your water is not just dependent on your supplier but also on your postcode. While experts say it is generally not harmful to your health, I believe it affects the taste of water and therefore any beverage made from it.
Since I came to UK, I have been using a water filter religiously for my family. I will use it for cooking, making drinks for children and all sorts. I think it is so much nicer to drink too. I’ve also not had to descale my kettle for years as it still remains clean.
Recently Aqua Optima got in touch to see if I would like to try them out. I thought why not. I have been using the same brand for over 10 years and this brand’s water filters are getting very expensive nowadays. It is about time to look for an alternative without compromising the quality of the water.

Need an hour extra lie-in this weekend? Is your children getting up too early? We have found the perfect solution for Mr K who wakes up at 6.30 am every morning. We have trialled using a proper alarm clock but it didn’t work with him as the alarm is too loud and he can’t understand how to read the clock properly. Origami Ladybird Tutorial
This is an Origami Ladybird step by step video tutorial. Origami is such a simple and fun craft! I have loved it since when I was very young. I used to fold thousands of paper cranes hoping my wish could come true and it did. But how true are these wishes – they are just a wish, you have to work hard for your wish than simply thinking folding thousands of paper cranes (wishes) will help your dreams come true.
