After a really busy few days busy with play dates, a Twitter party and reading challenges, we didn’t have time to do the letter H. So now we are back on track on Summer Activities!
H for Hair
I got Mr K to comb Ms C’s hair for fine motor skills practice. Luckily, Mr K is willing to give his little sister a brush and save me time from combing her messy hair.
H for Happy
Yes, Happy is the word to describe us right now and we have a daily dance to Pharrell Williams’ tune playing on repeat.
H for Harry Potter
We are all huge fans of Harry Potter and both of my children have watched the first four Harry Potter movies a number of times.
Also last month, we went to Harry Potter Studios down in North London. Click on the link to read more about how we got ourselves into characters!
H for button Hole
Ms C has not yet mastered the skill of buttoning her clothes and I end up having to button all her clothes for her. So I’ve asked her to practice. This not helps me with clothing, it also helps her fine motor skills too.
H for Holiday
We’ve been drawing up our holiday plans. Both kids are very excited and have made a list of what they want to do while on holiday.
H for Horrid Henry Books
Before bedtime, we’ve been reading Horrid Henry books. Mr K loves the Horrid Henry’s series and enjoys reading them. Now he is getting so much better with his reading, he is able to read the whole book by himself. We have reviewed a number of Horrid Henry books like Krazy Ketchup, Wedding, Animals, Sleepover and Royal Riot. They are all great book to read, just a little horrid!
H for Horse
We took a few knights and horses out in the garden and made up some stories while playing them. Both of my children love pretend/role playing and they always come out with lot of crazy ideas which amuses me no end!
The next letter is I. Do pop back and have a look at what we did for the letter I!
