Away In My Aeroplane is a book written by best-selling children’s author Margaret Wise Brown. This colourful and beautifully illustrated book is brought to life by Henry Fisher. It was first published by Parragon Publishing on 22 April 2013 and available to buy via Amazon.
The book is paperback containing about 32 pages and contains one or two sentences on each page with a good size font. The book cover dividers are really handy to bookmark a page.
This book is about a young boy who was riding his aeroplane and tells us what he had saw while he was flying in it. It rhymes and describes the movement and excitement of the adventure. “Riding along in my aeroplane, I wave to the sun, I shout to the rain. Then with a roar of my motors that drowns me out, I dash straight up in the air and wheel about.”
This is a book with not too many words but is packed full of beautiful illustrations. My six year old son was able to read it well. This book is suitable for preschool or younger children.
