Gelli Baff has teamed up with Izziwizzi Kids Play Fest® to help you raise money for Comic Relief. The theme for Play Fest® is Do Something Funny with Jelly. From Friday 8th March through to Friday 15th March on the day of Comic Relief they would like to celebrate with your funny jelly videos and share some fun jelly play inspiration. We were not involved in planning any fund raising events but I had donated a total of £14 to all our 7 Izziwizzi Kids Play Fest® teams for their hard work.
Gelli Baff also kindly gave us a pack of Gelli Baff Princess Pink to do this review. So what is Gelli Baff? I only heard of them during the Izziwizzi Kids Play Fest® early in this February. They are powder that will transform water into goo. The goo is a completely harmless powder that soaks up 400 times it’s own weight in water. When the fun’s all done, add the dissolver sachet and the goo disappears. They comes in four colours: Lagoon Blue, Swamp Green, Princess Pink and Lava Blast Red.
Both the children really enjoyed playing and having fun in the goo bath tub. It is very easily dissolved by using warm water. The colour is a bright pink which makes it look really attractive. They had a lot of fun pouring and throwing the goo onto each other.
We didn’t play for a long time as Ms C got goo into her eyes which made her very uncomfortable. I would suggest wearing swimming goggles for anyone who want to play it. Also it can get very slippery so you have to be quite careful with younger children.
We found that Gelli Baff is very easy to wash away and drain out after adding the Step 2 powder. I felt that this product is better suited for messy garden parties than the limited space indoors. Gelli Baff retails at around £8.95 which we think is quite expensive if it’s just for two children to play with. It would be better value if it is for a group party.
I would recommend Gelli Baff if you are having a messy party as it will provide a lot of fun to any young to old. I would not suggest to use it on weekly basis in the bath as it would be quite expensive. I rate this product 4 stars out of 5 as it provides a lot of unique fun but it’s not the type of product that you would buy on a regular basis.
