A Trip to Anthony John Salons

Anthony John Salons is set in the cobbled sanctuary of the Heart of the Country Shopping Village in Lichfield.  This award winning team is not only passionate for perfection, they deliver the very best in customer service in their luxury and cosy environment.

When I first arrived at the salon, the atmosphere was very peaceful and the whole place looked very glamourous. It was very well decorated to the highest standard and most importantly, clients get their own personal space. There is plenty of floor space and some striking furniture. I was greeted by their friendly staff who showed me the range of beverages and made me feel at home. They really know how to look after their clients!  There was hot chocolate, coffee, tea, fizzy drinks, beer and wine.

While waiting for the rest of the bloggers to arrive, Anthony took us around the salon and showed us what they have done. They are very passionate to make sure their clients have their own personal place to relax while having their hair done. So they created the cosy corner for their clients to surf internet, read magazines and help themselves to a drink. You no longer have to face yourself in front of the mirror eyeing on others!

Part of the event was to pick up tips from their experts on how to dress up my hair to impress and getting my hair filmed by the latest hair and head consultation cameras to assess the actual condition of my hair. I was very intrigued! But before I had my hair health check, I had a quick lesson on how to blow dry my hair to create volume with my hair.  My hair has always been straight and flat and what I lack is volume.

Before that, I was pampered with a hair wash plus massage that was so relaxing almost fell asleep! It was so comfortable that I could have happily snored away if I had gone there after a tiring day. Then the stylist picked up three Kerastase products to use to create the volume in my hair. She also showed me how to use the brush and hairdryer to blow dry to create maximum volume. I never knew that combing it upwards will create volume in your hair. Also finish it with a backcomb with a teasing brush to get the height. I have to say that I was very clumsy while trying to blow dry my hair. I ending up by blasting the hot air onto the stylist a couple of times!

Next, I was shown their colour range corner where they give their clients advice on picking the right colour for their hair.  My hair is very black and having it coloured to a very light colour is impossible. So Anthony gave me some advice on product to choose if I decided to have it coloured.

Finally, the most exciting part was to do a hair health check!  I have never done it before and so I was really looking forward to finding out the condition of my hair!  I am so proud to say that I passed with flying colours!  Everything checked out great for my hair and scalp!  It was one of the best they had seen.  Phew!  It was educational and an interesting experience to see your own hair and scalp blown up 400 times magnification on their camera!

I had a great time getting pamper at Anthony John Salons and picked up some really useful tips too!  It was a lovely experience for me who doesn’t get pampered that often and to learn something new about the salon!  Looking at the price range, I think it is very reasonable and affordable.  So if you are not far from Lichfield, why not treat yourself to a new look hair style?  There is plenty of free parking and shops around the village.
