20th Century Fox’s computer animated Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is out now on Digital HD, and the Blu-ray and DVD are available to buy from 30th May 2016 from good stores and Amazon.
This is the first full length film featuring Charles M Shultz’s world famous characters like Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved PEANUTS Gang! This is in state of the art 3D animation. Charlie Brown, the world’s most beloved underdog, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest, while his best pal, the lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron. It’s great how they still following similar themes from the original stories and that they have kept the characters that those of us old enough will know and love. Charlie Brown is always shy, fails at everything he tries while his best mate Snoopy is always there for him.
I have been a fan of Snoopy since young and I love this movie. I have watched the movie with my seven and eight year olds and we all enjoyed it. The visuals and animation are very well done, with the characters in 3D unlike the old stories. The storyline is easy to follow by young children and fun to watch.
Ms C’s favourite character is Charlie Brown and she loves that he is always so innocent and shy. Whilst Mr K loves Snoopy especially when he goes on to fight against the Red Baron in his short clips! The funniest part of the story has to be when the mischievous Snoopy presses the doorbell for Charlie Brown! All the characters are very likeable and fun to watch.
Besides the movie, this DVD also comes with special features: Snoopy Snippets, learn to draw Snoopy, Woodstock and Charlie Brown, “Get Down with Snoopy and Woodstock” music video, “Better when I’m Dancing” Meghan Trainor music, lyrics and behind the scenes videos, Snoopy’s playlist and Stills Gallery. I love the special feature to learn to draw the characters!
We really enjoyed the movie and it is perfect for half term! I would definitely recommend and I am glad to have introduced this movie to my children.
