UK’s Best over 50’s Festivals

27 May 2016 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Over 50’s does not means you can’t party like anybody else!  As we are going to be in the month of June, we know that those hot summer days are not far off!  The festival season has begun and this year’s promises to really special and are to be enjoyed by all.

discover the uk best over 50s festivalsSunLife have created a very useful map for over 50’s for some of the different festivals all over the UK.  It is not all about loud music and pop songs, but festivals that let you step back in time to enjoy the culture, theatre or even taste a variety of great British gin.

This is a very interesting over 50’s festivals interactive map for that allows you to click on a pin to learn more about the festivals in each area which is especially useful if you are doing your bucket lists or running out of ideas or fancy just driving around in your campervan!

Even though this is created for over 50s, I am sure we can use this map to check out festivals that are suitable for my mother in law and our aunties and uncles.  It is also great to use this map to find ideas for them or maybe to plan a family trip.

The festival that caught my eye is the 12th Annual Wychwood Festival at the Cheltenham racecourse that runs from 3rd to 5th of June 2016.  This also coincides with half term which works well for us!  There are over 100 brands on 4 stages, over 100 workshops for all ages, kids literature festival, comedy, Real Ale festival, great food, idyllic camping beneath the Prestbury Hills and many more.  It is an ideal mix of a fun safe family environment with fantastic music to appeal to any music fans out there.  This sounds like a perfect family outing for everyone!

So where will you be heading this summer?  Why not try out this map to give you an idea!
