Playmobil SWAT Command Vehicle Review

25 August 2015 by Eileen

Playmobil have just recently launched this new SWAT Command Vehicle (5564) for the City Action range. It is a starter set that allows you could expand with extension packs (4856 and 4879) to build it into a remote control vehicle. This is an all-terrain operations centre with room for up to 5 police officers.

This set requires plenty of adult help to assemble. Both children found it tricky to press the tyres into the wheels properly and to use the tool to insert some of the parts . The rest of the assembly is easy and straightforward.

This vehicle comes with a half open door at the front for officers to get in quickly and a back door with steps. The roof can be taken off to be able to play inside the vehicle. The roof also comes with a flap that enables you to open and drop your officer in by helicopter through the gap!

It requires one AAA battery to operate the siren which is not included. There are two sound settings for the siren, A and B, which can be found under the battery compartment. On the top of the siren, there are two tiny black buttons for lights and sound. Mr K finds it highly amusing and keeps pressing it. The volume of the siren is soft which is great for young children.

Inside the vehicle, there is a control desk with control monitor and a telephone. It comes with one figurine and a brief case full of equipment like torch, guns, camera, walkie-talkie and headlight. This vehicle measures 32cm x 12cm x 13 cm.

Mr K enjoys his SWAT vehicle especially for the sound effects! Now he can go on patrol with his officer! This is our video review, do check it out: https://youtu.be/hg7Fs7_1Pms

This looks like a really fun set that is not only fun to play with but to build too (even if your children did need a little help!)
