Quntis Solar Deck Lights Review

13 August 2024 by Eileen

Illuminate your decking with these gorgeous Quntis solar deck lights placed around the contours of your outdoor space to give your deck an enchanting feeling that transforms at dusk.

These lightweight outdoor deck lights are made of die-cast aluminium which can prevent rust. They are harder than ordinary plastic and can withstand up to 20 tons of weight. It emits light from both the front and sides which illuminate your garden decking boundaries and make it easier to navigate at night.

Each box contains four deck lights, four sets of wall plugs & mounting screws, four red dot glue pads and instructions.

They are IP68 waterproof and the fully sealed design can withstand all kinds of bad weather (sunproof, rainproof, snowproof and windproof). Each light measures approximately ‎11 cm by 11 cm by 2.25 cm. As the lights are slightly raised, you have to be careful where you place them in case of a trip hazard.

They are equipped with monocrystalline silicon solar panels with photovoltaic conversion efficiency of up to 20%. It comes with a built-in 600mAh high-quality solar battery. It will take 4 to 5 hours of sunlight for the batteries to fully charge. In turn, it will provide all-night illumination (15 hours). The charging efficiency is 80% higher than traditional lithium batteries.

Just like any solar panels, it will require regular cleaning to maximise charging efficiency. If the solar panels are covered in dirt or under a big shady tree, for example, they will not charge as efficiently.

The built-in 8 super bright LEDs give out three different colours: warm white, blue, and cool white. The on/off buttons and colour changing buttons can be found under the light. It is very easy to slide the button across to select the colours. It is also very well protected by the rubbery casing so that no water can get inside the lights.

It comes with wall plugs and screws for you to install the lights onto the decking. I chose not to do so as my decking is very worn right now. You can also opt to glue it down using the glue pads. I chose to use cable ties to tie them down as it was so much easier to do so. Also, I can change my mind anytime I want.

The lights are very responsive! The moment it gets dark or if I cover the solar panels, the lights turn on. They are bright (visible distance roughly of 500 metres) and look great. I love the blue colour the most. They elevate the look of my decking borders with clearer definition and zoning around these areas. I love their ease of use and the glow of the lighting. It is available to buy from Amazon (use this discount code SBZGSZLJ to save 10%, ending 31st January 2025) or Quntis.
