When nighttime descends, it can be very hard to see into your garden. This is why having fence lighting can come in handy. They are more than just an aesthetic addition to your garden, in fact, they can illuminate your garden boundaries and make it easier to navigate at night.
These outdoor garden solar fence lights from Quntis combine traditional vintage shapes with modern LED lights. Each box contains four fence lights, four sets of wall plugs & mounting screws, four position cupboard papers and instructions.
The fence lights are very lightweight and the materials are made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic. They are IP44 rated, which is sunproof, rainproof, snow proof and windproof. Each light measures approximately 8 cm by 6cm by 11 cm. The fence lights are easily dismantled and do not require wiring. They are equipped with high-conversion poly-silicon solar panels and a rechargeable solar battery.
The LED light bulbs give out a warm white colour (2700K) with a vintage look. It will take 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight for the batteries to fully charge. It will in turn provide all night illumination (10 to 12 hours). The solar panels will require regular cleaning to ensure charging efficiency. If the solar panels are covered in bird poo or under a big shady tree, for example, they will not charge as efficiently.
All my garden posts are made from concrete and it would be difficult to drill them properly. I am delighted that I am able to use cable ties (not included) to install them all with ease! They did provide the position cupboard papers to help with marking the position for the screws. Luckily, I am opting for easy installation by using cable ties. It did not take long to install all eight fence lights.
To attach via cable ties, first remove the lamp body and turn on the switch. It is clearly printed on/off on the surface. Next, insert the cable ties into the back of the plate holes. Please see the image. I have used two 40 cm cable ties for each fence light.
Then reinsert the lamp body into the lamp holder. It was quite fiddly to insert it in. I needed another pair of hands to pull the cable tie flat. Then I joined another cable tie to make a loop and installed it onto the concrete post. After tightening and securing the cable ties onto the post, trim off the excess cable tie with scissors. The manufacturers advise installing the fence lights at least 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres from the ground.
When it was getting dark (around 9pm in May), the fence lights automatically turned on. They look gorgeous! They are not comparable to wired-in fence lighting/floodlights, but they definitely elevate the look of my garden borders with clearer definition and zoning around these areas. I find it so easy to install and I love the glow of the lighting. It is available to buy from Amazon. Now you can save 10% by using this discount code W8JNR9SN.
