Since the pandemic, many people’s lifestyles have changed significantly. Many office workers have switched to working from home. This situation has significantly affected people’s lives who used to enjoy walking to work or taking a stroll in the park during their lunch hour. Need to meet your 10,000 steps a day? Now I have a great solution for you! With this FlexiSpot cycle desk bike, you can keep fit and burn more calories while working. You can choose to either have a bike with a desk or without that you can tuck under your work desk.
This desk bike comes in two separate boxes. The bigger box contains the bike, bolt for the desk, hex key, anti-skid coaster and instructions. The bike is very heavy, but I managed to remove the bike and set it up by myself. It is very quick and easy. Once the bike is out of the box, I popped on all four legs and it is ready for the installation of the desk.
The desk is quite bulk and slightly heavy. It didn’t take me long to pop the desk onto the bike. Simply screw the bolt in and tighten with the hex key. In my video, you can see how easy it is to install the desk and I will show you all the compartments of the bike. Do check it out!

First, let’s take a look at the seat. It comes with a pneumatic adjustment lever on the back to allow you to easily adjust the seat to your desired height. I am 156cm tall and I have to put it down to the lowest height. It is so easy to adjust upwards and you will need to use your weight to push it downwards. Also, the seat is very spongy and comfortable. Personally, I love that the seat is wide enough for me to sit on and relax. On the other hand, my husband would prefer a narrower profile seat as this is what he is used to on his bike. This is purely down to preferences.
This bike comes with a cup holder with an anti-skid coaster. The cup holder is big enough to hold various shapes and sizes of cups or bottles as you can see in this photo. It is not very deep but it is secure and my knees don’t touch or bang on the item.
The LCD display looks very simple and easy to read. It requires two AA batteries which are not included. The display shows the time you exercised (TMR), the speed when you exercised (SPD), distance covered (DIS), calories burned (CAL), total distance (ODO), speed of the wheel (RPM) and readout. The readout (SCAN) will cycle through each display one by one every 5 seconds.
I personally prefer to know the statistics for the day that I have cycled and want to be able to reset it for the next day. I do not really want to know the grand total amount of distance/calories that I have done since I started cycling on the bike. This is even more relevant because my children and husband have also been using and have clocked in their statistics too so the totals are a bit meaningless for me personally. To reset the statistics, you would need to press the button for at least 3 seconds and it will reset to zero.
With eight resistance levels, you can go from light activity to a more robust workout by turning the dial. The levels increase very gradually and the ride is very smooth throughout my workout.
The pedals have grips on the sides and it is best to use them with shoes or slippers. Definitely not with bare feet as it can be very painful. I love that the pedals can be folded away easily which you can see on my video too.
The desk comes with two settings. You can move it forwards and backwards easily using the lever to adjust to a comfortable position. The next setting is to be able to adjust the height by pressing the lever on your right. When you need to move the desk downward, you will need to use a bit of your body weight to move it down. I find adjusting the desk very quick and easy!
The desk has a polyurethane (PU) cushion at the edge of the desk to give you extra comfort. I really enjoy resting my arms while working. The desk is big enough to accommodate my 15 inch computer, a phone, notepad and pen with room to play with.
Last but not least, the wheels do not come with any stopper, but once you sit on it, the bike is very sturdy on carpet and tile surfaces. You don’t feel unstable or that anyone would be able to knock you off while riding.
Overall I really enjoy using this exercise bike to help me to get fit. The bike is very robust, sturdy and riding it is so smooth and quiet. Now I can’t make any more excuses for lack of exercise as the indoor bike will help keep me active and help me stay away from the bad weather. Also, I am able to do my work at the same time! My children and husband also enjoy using it whenever they can, to burn a few calories!
