Hydratem8 Cup & Food Pot Review

28 October 2018 by Eileen

Let’s us do our part for the environment! It is time to ditch those disposable plastic coffee cups and single-use microwave containers that you used for your office lunch or school meal by using these gorgeous sleek looking Hydratem8 cup and food pot!

Hydratem8 products are the perfect solution to be plastic free for everyday life! I am so pleased to have received the Hydratem8 reusable coffee cup and food pot to test out.

Hydratem8 Cup & Food Pot Review

First, let me tell you more about this sleek looking Hydratem8 reusable coffee cup. This 450ml ‘cup’ has triple layer insulation to ensure that your drinks remain hot (or cold) when you need them for a long period of time. I did a test and checked it after 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours. It really does the job well. After 6 hours, the hot water was hot enough to scald the tip of my tongue! After 12 hours, the water was still hot but drinkable and 24 hours later, it still felt warm. I am very impressed with it!

It is available online in black, silver or lilac colours and you can personalise it too (up to 11 characters) via www.hydratem8.co.uk. It is made from stainless steel and BPA free plastic. They are really well made and should last for ages.

What I like most and the unique selling point of this cup is the pop-up lid! With this leak-proof cup, the lid has an added clicking lock to provide reassurance that it is into place. The pouring spout remains under a hard shell keeping your bottle clean, fresh and hygienic. To keep hydrated, simply lift the clicking lock and at the touch of a button, the flip top will effortlessly spring open! Unlike a flask, there is no inner top so this is nice and easy to open and close. The spout pours the drink out smoothly too! The cup is easy to clean with warm soapy water. It is not suitable for use in a dishwasher or microwave.

Next, we have the pink food pot and it is a very sweet colour. It comes in two sizes: 500 ml or 750 ml and in pink, teal & white, black, pink & white, lilac and lilac & white colours and again, you can personalise it (up to 3 characters) via their website.

This food pot is made from durable stainless steel inside and out except the lid and seal. It comes with a wide rim that makes it easy to fill and clean. It can retain optimum temperature hot or cold (12 hours hot, 24 hours cold). I love the soft handle on the lid which can be flattened for storage.

This food pot also comes with a foldable spoon that sits neatly on the seal. For large pieces of food, the spoon works very well but because it is quite shallow, it is not great for drinking soup.

Overall we are very pleased with the Hydratem8 cup and food pot! They look great for taking out to work, trips or school. They are slightly more expensive than I would like to pay but they are beautifully designed and use top quality materials. They would make a great gift!

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
