i-Top Electronic Spinning Top Game

15 July 2018 by Eileen

i-Top is the next generation pocket-sized electronic spinning top game that will appeal to both children and adults alike! This toy combines the classic spinning top look with modern twists! Not only can it be stored away neatly by placing the pin into the groove, it also comes with an electronic counter with hidden animations.

i-Top is a very well made spinning toy with a clever compact design, it is perfect as a travel game! It is available in these colours: blue, red, orange, purple and green.

The spinning top counts the number of revolutions and keeps track of scores. When it spins, it will show you your previous score and after five seconds, it shows the highest score obtained. On the underside of the spinning top, there is a small black reset button/dot for you to reset the scores using the tip of a paper clip.

There are three main play modes including Top Score, 99 Spin Challenge and a Compass. The Top Score mode is where you challenge either yourself or your friends to achieve the highest number of revolutions in one turn. This is great to improve your throws and try new techniques! Of course, it is best to play on a flat surface. So far, the best we have achieved is over 400!

The 99 Spin Challenge is where you spin your top and grab it when it reaches exactly 99 spins. It may sound easy but it requires great timing! Definitely one for the pros! The best we did was to unlock two stars! Each star will unlock a secret animation. If you can win the 99 Challenge several times in a row, it will increase your number of stars. The downside of this challenge is that once you fail, it will reset the stars. It can get quite tense and frustrating at times!

For the compass mode, you would have to spin your top right-left successively without ever exceeding 30 turns. Once unlocked, it will show you north, south, east and west.

As I mentioned earlier, there are many hidden modes where you unlocked secret combinations to see special animations appear. Try to get 214 to see a cupid, 314 for a Pi, 333 for diamonds and many more!
