Gandey’s Circus Review

27 September 2017 by Eileen

The award-winning Gandey’s Circus is an unmissable show featuring an array of international artistes from around the globe and they came to Bloxwich last week! We were thoroughly entertained by their outstanding performance.

They will start their Special Half-Term Halloween Spooktacular event exclusively at Merry Hill this half-term from Friday 20th to Sunday 29th October 2017. For more information, please visit http://www.gandeyscircus.com/tour-dates.html or you can book over the phone 0871 705 5507.

This all-new production contains stunningly choreographed dance routines, combined with amazing lighting effects and a pulsating beat, all under the watchful eye of Gandeys’ original moustachioed ringmaster – the enigmatic Mr Binky Beaumont. The spooktacular finale will shock and delight with a bubbling cauldron of acrobatic skeletons, flying witches, break-dancing zombies and crazy ghostbusters… it’s a THRILLER!

We have been to a number of different circus shows like the American, Moscow and Chinese circus. This was our first time attending Gandey’s Circus and we would go again. They put on such an entertaining show that wowed the audience throughout with their jaw-dropping stunts, stunningly choreographed dance routines and combined with amazing lighting effects. They also have Europe’s favourite clown Chico Rico to cause mayhem and mirth throughout the show before rewarding the appreciative audience with a special surprise especially the boxing performance with the audience. We were very impressed with their physical skills and all their outstanding acts.

Gandey’s Circus Review

Gandey’s reputation for producing premier circus productions worldwide for nearly 100 years is second to none. They have a range of artistes from around the globe, like Duo Siffolini from Bulgaria executing awe-inspiring feats on the Giant Wheel of Death, Duo Bella from Cuba performing a unique hair hanging aerial ballet above the audience, The Serik Brothers from Kazakhstan on the acrobatic aerial straps, The Tangier Troupe from Morocco – seven acrobatic sons of the Desert, Las Chicas Morales from Central America on the Rolling Globes and many more excellent first class artistes.

Gandey’s Circus artists

It is non-stop action from start to finish! The first half of the show is approximately 45 minutes long followed by a 15 minutes interval and then 55 minutes for the second half.

Our favourite act was Duo Siffolini and the Giant Wheel of Death, but they were all excellent and watching Las Chicas Morales was especially tense when they climbed the ramp on the rolling globes. We all enjoyed the circus show and love that every artiste performed to such a high standard. Check out their next show if it is near you!

Disclosure: We were provided family tickets for the purposes of writing this review, however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

The word circus puts me off but it looks as though it is time I reconsidered what a circus is these days.
