Hanazuki Moodgleam & Lunalux Review

24 June 2017 by Eileen 1 Comment

Hanazuki: Full of Treasures is a short American children’s animated show. The series is set in a fictional galaxy comprising countless moons which are being obliterated by a dark force known as the “Big Bad”. These moons are protected by children called Moonflowers, who use their emotional states to activate magical “treasures”.

The main character is Hanazuki who lives in her own moon, and her mission is to protect it from dark forces. Whenever Hanazuki’s moods change, she will also change colour as well, which is the key to great power that could save the galaxy. There is a colourful cast of characters like Kiazuki, Sleepy Unicorn, Little Dreamer and Dazzlesscence Jones.

The series are currently airing on YouTube and Hasbro have launched a range of merchandise and digital app. We have received the Moodgleam & Lunalux. The Moodgleam is a wearable bracelet that glows with treasures. It comes with a micro USB cable with built in battery and two treasures. This bracelet looks very cool when it is filled with treasures!

There is an ON button on the side and it also has a removable cap to plug in your cable for charging. The light displays will end after 30 seconds and it will turn off after 1 minute if not activated. Ms C adores the changing of colourful lights and enjoys playing with it. The Moodgleam is slightly big for her even on the tightest band. She is eight years old and she is quite small for her age. The bracelet should fit bigger children. The Moodgleam is very well made with good quality materials and with no sharp corners around each pieces.

This Moodgleam works with the free app which is available to download on iTunes or Google Play.

The app is based on the show where you will be Hanazuki and you need to protect your moon against the evil force. To use with Moodgleam, simply tap the top left hand corner and get it synchronised with your Moodgleam. It didn’t take long to get connected. Once it is connected, the colour of the treasure you choose on the app will appear on your Moodgleam. It is pretty cool!

We have also received the first series collection Lunalux which comes with a cupcake Little Dreamer figure along with 10 sweets-themed treasures that each represent a different mood! You can wear, share, and display your treasures, and then watch them in the app just by scanning their codes! The Little Dreamer figure has a code to scan into the app, too! These toys are available in good toy retailers.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
