Judge Mini Chopper Review

24 October 2016 by Eileen

This new Mini Chopper JEA75 from Judge delivers all the power of larger food processors, yet it has just a small percentage of the footprint.  I am so glad that I have found something so compact and powerful for my little kitchen!

It is straightforward to assemble and comes with a glass bowl, plastic lid, plastic spatula, rubber rim for the glass bowl, power unit, blade and instructions. Simply wash the bowl, blade and lid before use.  Place the glass bowl onto the rubber rim, before placing it on the kitchen top. Then place the blade, followed by the lid and power unit and you are ready to chop!

This is great for creating both coarse and fine chopped ingredients, and even purees.  It is the ultimate tool for people like me who like to work on small scale.

I have used it to crush biscuits for my cheesecake base!  This is so handy and within 10 seconds, all my biscuits are in small bits and ready to mix with melted butter.  I love not having to take out my big food processor just to do a small job like this and it is easy to hand wash too.

I also used it to chop my most hated vegetable, the onion.  Again within seconds, the job is done and ready to cook.  Simply use the spatula to scrape out the bowl and get cooking.

I find it quite easy to over-process the ingredients and it will become finely chopped or pureed.  I have learnt that you only need to press and release two to three times and this will allow the food pieces to drop to the bottom of the bowl between bursts.

This mini chopper is great for many food types like chopping fruit without seeds/stone, vegetables, cold or fresh meat/poultry/fish, bread, biscuits and liquid.  It is fast and efficient.   I love how quickly I can get it done. One thing to point out is that you should never exceed a pulse time of 30 seconds.  If so, wait for two minutes to cool down before you do it again!

I would recommend it if you would like an inexpensive compact food processor that has great power! It is available to buy on Amazon. It comes with a two year domestic electrical guarantee cover.
