This Rocktanium frying pan is part of Stellar’s latest collection which comes with the distinctive “stone” finish non-stick coating. It is free from Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), scratch-resistant and guaranteed for five years.
The range comprises of five heavy duty frying pans: 20cm, 24cm, 26cm, 28cm and 30cm. The pan has been created from thick aluminium for perfect heat distribution to help avoid those tricky hot spots. I have been using the pan (on a big hob) to cook chicken, eggs and many more and the heat distributed evenly throughout the cooking.
They are suitable for use on any hob type, including induction. Each pan has a comfortable hollow cast riveted handle for strength and stability, they can be used in the oven up to a temperature of 210°C. This is really useful to keep things warm or to cook foods after searing in the pan without having to transfer it out into a different pan.
I love the stone finish of the pans. It gives you the false impression that it is going to be very heavy, but in fact it is quite lightweight and easy to lift by the handle while cooking. I love the non-stick finish too which makes washing easier. The pan is easy to wash by hand and it is dishwasher safe.
There is nothing to fault with this pan. Overall, the pan cooks well and the scratch resistance coating should mean that it will last for a long time. The price of the pan is reasonably good value for money too. For more information, please Stellar’s website www.stellarcookware.co.uk.
