The Gloriumptious Worlds of Roald Dahl

20 August 2016 by Eileen 2 Comments

The Gloriumptious Worlds of Roald Dahl book is a scrapbook collection to Dahl’s wonderful stories, and gives fascinating insights into the characters and events from Roald Dahl’s writing in a humorous, exciting and downright gloriumptious way. It brings you into his world to discover how each story and character begins. This book is published by Carlton Book and was released on 11th August 2016.

the Gloriumptious Worlds of Roald Dahl

If you are a fan of Ronald Dahl, you will the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and BFG etc. But did you know how they all began?  Clever Mr Fox, Willy Wonka and the wicked Grand High Witch first came to life in a hut in his garden. This hut is not an ordinary shed, in fact, it was filled with photographs, pictures and weird objects which sparked his imagination.

For the very first time, the stories behind the stories are brought to life with Quentin Blake’s iconic illustrations which are combined with previously unpublished reproductions of imagined letters, artefacts and posters, and editing notes from Dahl himself, to bring all of Roald Dahl’s characters alive.

The book is easy to read and understand. Looking through the amazing illustrations and photographs, it give us much insight to the characters. We love reading this book! This is a very exciting book which keeps surprising us page after page! Not only that, we have received a signed letter from Roald Dahl at the end of the book. What a lovely surprise! This is a very delightful book that I would recommend for all Roald Dahl fans! This book is available to buy in good book stores and Amazon.
