Christmas is coming early this July! Earlier this week, Morrisons gave me a glimpse of the future, to view their latest Make Christmas display that will be coming soon in store! This was my first time attending foodie Christmas in July and I have to say I am very impressed with the varieties of Christmas products that I saw at the venue.
Morrisons is based in Yorkshire, but with over 500 stores and an online home delivery service, they serve customers all over the UK and is one of the largest food retailers. They source and process most of the fresh food that they sell though their own manufacturing facilities. They have skillful and trained professionals in their stores who prepare the fresh food in their stores. I am thrilled to learn that so much is prepared fresh in store for their customers and they listen to what their customers wants.
This coming Christmas, the butcher department is launching a Gluten Free turkey crown with a choice of stuffing topped with bacon for their customers. They will be able to prepare to the size you required! Also, they are bringing back their famous Beef Wellington pie and many more roast dishes to give you a helping hand this Christmas.
Next, I went over to the fish store to taste their range of seafood. I personally love the lightly smoked Scottish Salmon with orange and cranberries! You can serve the fish immediately to your guests and I’m sure they would be impressed with the combination of orange and cranberries. It is flavoursome and great value for money! Also, not forgetting that Morrisons smoke their own fish in Grimsby. Their fillets are carefully deboned, dipped in salt and water, and placed into a kiln to smoke over beechwood chips for a unique flavour. This is exciting to learn that Morrisons is very committed to process most of their fresh food unlike other supermarkets which import their products. Do look out for these products to add to your Christmas shopping this December. You will be very well impressed with the prices too!
Next, I popped over to their bakery stall where I learnt how to roll the chocolate Panettone and pipe the Christmas tree meringues. I learnt that they even bake everything from scratch in store, which gives me much confidence in the company who prides themselves to bringing fresh food in store! The highlight of the bakery stall had to be The Best Chocolate Christmas Tree cake! Doesn’t it look impressive? This would look great as a centrepiece for a party.
Besides their freshly make food, they also have their clothing brand NutMeg which offer customers a range of soft clothing and great value for money. I hope in the later months, I will be able to introduce you to their Christmas range of clothing for everyone.
I have also tried out a range of their party food, cheeses and many more! This was a great event to taste their upcoming Christmas food and to learn about their commitment to bringing customers fresh food in store!
Disclosure: I was invited to the event and received a goody bag.
