Can you believe the summer holidays will be here in just a couple more weeks! Have you been planning what to do with your children? Why not stock up on summer crafts, to spend time during the break with your children? We often have craft kits at home which are great to do together during rainy days and in a kit form, it’s nice that all the relevant materials are included.
As part of Baker Ross bloggers, we often receive great craft kits from them and this month, we have received a range of summer themed craft kits. We were provided sea life spiral notebook kit, paracord bracelet kits, glitter sand bags, seaside sand art pictures, dinosaur wooden photo frames, farm stampers and rainbow unicorn charm bracelet kits.
Ms C was very keen to do the girly stuff like paracord bracelet, rainbow unicorn bracelet and seaside sand art! We have spent a good hour just doing all these activities together.
Each kit is well packaged and great value. The kits comes with full instructions and are easy to follow and make. They are good quality and I love that they provide so many inspirational ideas!
Sea Life Spiral Notebook Kit
This kit comes with 4 notebooks of octopus, crab, turtle and fish. Each notebook comes with a foam cover on the front and back and 20 blank pages within. The kit contains the sea life animal shapes to stick on the notebook. The notebook is slightly thin for my liking but I know Ms C will have many uses for them!
Paracord Bracelet Kits
This kit comes has 6 sets of multi coloured paracord and clips. Ms C finds threading the paracord very tricky so I have to help her understand the pattern to thread the paracord. There is a great choice of paracord and each paracord are thick and smooth. Once they are threaded onto the clips, it is very easy to do the rest of the cord. Once done, I trimmed off the extra paracord and used a lighter to heat the paracord to melt it. This is stop it from coming apart.
Ms C is very pleased with her bracelet and has been wearing it.
Seaside Sand Art Pictures with Sand Bags
This art picture pack comes with 8 self-adhesive art sheets and the sand bags comes with 12 glitter sands in various colours. Before doing this craft, it is best to get a disposable table cloth or newspapers as it gets very messy! Also have a plastic spoon to collect the sand.
Ms C enjoyed placing the coloured sand onto the pictures. She finds it fun decorating with her favourite colour. This is definitely a great exercise for motor skills for younger children!
Dinosaur Wooden Photo Frames
This comes with 5 different dinosaurs, 10 wooden inserts and 5 green self-adhesive stickers. This frame is easy to colour in with felt pens and once it is dried, just cut out a photo and stick it! This makes a great gift too!
Farm Stampers
There are 10 different farm theme stamps. Each one is chunky and easy to hold by children. I found the paint didn’t distribute around the foam properly. I think it is best to brush the paint lightly on the foam rather than having big pot of paints to stamp it in to get a better result.
I gave Ms C a big sheet to cover the table and she was happily stamping the foam in a random pattern.
Rainbow Unicorn Charm Bracelet Kits
This comes with three kits. Inside each kit, there is an elastic string, beads and charms. As you can see, Ms C is very pleased with her bracelet that she managed to thread herself. This is such a beautiful bracelet!
Do check out Baker Ross if you are looking for craft kits to entertain your children over this summer. I would highly recommend them. They offer the best value all round with their 100% price match promise!
