Yesterday, we were thrilled to attend this exclusive event to find out about the upcoming Skylanders Imaginators game! As many might know, we are a big fan of Skylanders and have been playing with them for three years now. From the first series Spyro’s Adventure, then to Giants, followed by Swap Force, Trap Team and most recently the SuperChargers!
Moving towards the fifth year of Skylanders, there will be a new game to be launched on 14th October 2016 called Skylanders Imaginators where you unleash your imagination and bring the Skylanders to life!
In the game, Kaos has discovered the ancient power of Mind Magic and is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders! Eon is calling upon all Portal Masters and Skylands’ greatest mystic warriors, the Senseis, to stop Kaos and his minions. Now, you must use the power of your imagination to create your own Skylanders to battle in the ultimate adventure alongside the almighty Senseis to save Skylands.
There are so many ways for you to create your own characters, from giving him a banana head to hot pants. There are so many combinations for you to create and you can also earn extra variations through the game. This game will be available on PlayStation® 4, PlayStation® 3, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360 and Nintendo Wii U.
Both of my children were very impressed with the game and have been talking to their daddy about it. They love the idea of being able to give their own characters different personalities. We are so looking forward to the game!
While at the event, we also tried out their latest free app game called Battlecast. With this Skylanders Battlecast, you can collect battle cards, build the ultimate team, and bring them to life in epic online battles against friends and foes to become a champion Battle Caster! It can be played single player or with online multiplayers. This was so fun that both of them instantly got hooked. They have been scanning the Battlecast cards (in their goody bag) and playing with their Skylanders through Augmented Reality on their device. If you like to expand your gameplay experience, you could get the Battlecast cards, which are now available to buy from your local retailer.
Both children were very pleased to check out the new game and also all the interesting activities like playing the Superchargers game, printing their own Skylanders t-shirt, checking out the candy stalls, taking photos and many more! Also not forgetting the awesome Skylanders Kaos cakepops! Yum!
