Disney Fairies Review

15 December 2015 by Eileen 2 Comments

Don’t you just love these dazzling 9″ Disney Fairies? These beautiful fairies are the latest dolls from Jakks Pacific. They will be a hit for any Tinker Bell fans especially for the one I have at home! Ms C was thrilled when she saw them all. Within minutes, they were flying out from their cardboard boxes!

These dolls are inspired from the Tinker Bell & the Legend of the NeverBeast. There are five dolls to collect: two versions of Tink with different outfits, Fawn, Periwinkle and Rosetta.

Each doll measures 24 cm (9″) and comes with a pair of glittery plastic wings and a pair of shoes. I find it strange that all the dolls have been moulded standing tiptoe with their beautiful shoes. Hence to stand them up, they would have to lean on something. However, they do have moveable limbs that enable them to sit. Each fairy’s outfit and glitter wings are removable.

Tink comes dressed in her gorgeous green fairy outfit and green shoes with pompoms. Her gorgeous hair is tied very neatly into a tidy bun. Her hair can be let down but I won’t encourage Ms C to do it as we won’t be able to get it back into a neat bun.

Out of these four dolls, Ms C loves Fawn the most as she is the main character in the Legend of the NeverBeast. Ms C called Fawn an animal fairy as she is the kind fairy who looks after all the animals. Also she has gorgeous curled long hair. Ms C loves playing with her hair.

The RRP for each doll is £9.99 which is great value. Overall they are very well-made and also a great size to play with. They are also lightweight which makes them easy to fly them around the house! We would definitely recommend them!

Lastly, we have this Take Flight Tink which enables you to launch Tink up into the air. To fly her, you need to insert Tink into her beautiful floral base, turn the flower handle 3 to 5 times and press the ladybird to watch her soar! There is no need for batteries or assembly. Tinker Bell’s hair is made from soft rubber and her wings are made of part-foam and part-plastic. Two years ago, we had reviewed another fairy toy with exactly the same concept as Take Flight Tink which was launched via her flower base with a pull of the cord string.

We love this new updated version as it is so much easier to turn the key than pull the cord. The play value in this, is by getting the children to go outside and have fun launching the toy.  We all love fairies!

Shhh! Fawn is now busy chatting with Neverbeast and the rest of the Fairies and having a cupcake party!
