JCB Maize Maze at National Forest Adventure Farm

21 July 2015 by Eileen

To mark the 70th birthday of the world famous Staffordshire brand JCB, National Adventure Farm have teamed up with them for their 12th annual maize maze. This year in their 10 acre JCB Maize maze, it will feature an intricate design of a huge JCB digger and include three miles of pathways, viewing towers and bridges to navigate. You can either take part in the maze trail to collect the parts needed to build a JCB or a shorter mini maze in the shape of the JCB logo.

It is open from now until 6th September, just in time for the summer holidays. What a great way to spend a family day out especially for digger fans! There are eight stamps to collect while finding your way around it! We didn’t manage to collect all eight stamps as we were quite tired after spending 40 minutes in there. You should allow around one and a half hours if you are keen on finding all eight stamps and you could enter yourself to win a VIP JCB experience.

After tackling the maze, we went into the JCB Construction Zone activity tent. Inside there, children get a chance to learn bricklaying using real bricks. Both of my children were very keen to try and were bricklaying every single brick they could find! They both enjoyed the whole experience.

Inside the tent, there is also a long sand play table with plenty of JCB toys for younger children to play with.

We really like the new JCB theme with the Big Dig Zone and tractor bouncy castle. Even though both of my children are not mad with diggers, they both had a fab time and loved the bouldering (traversing) across the wall, jumping on the digger bouncy castle and many more! It is a great place for a full day out and we would highly recommend a visit for anyone coming to Staffordshire!

National Forest Adventure Farm is located in Burton upon Trent, within an hours drive from Stafford, Stoke, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester etc. It is quite easy to find the place. There is plenty of free parking plus disabled parking right at their entrance. They are open throughout the year but do check out their upcoming events like Half Term Halloween Spook-tacular (23 October- 1 November), Spudfest (every weekend in September), Screamfest and Christmas (28 November – 24 December). Do remember that if you book online, you could save 10% off the ticket price.

Disclosure: We were provided free entrance for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
