Surania Design Your Style Review

24 June 2015 by Eileen

If you were given a choice, who would not want to design your own swimsuit? Both of my children were so excited to get to pick what they wanted for their swimming costumes from Surania website.

This is my first time I’ve come across the concept of design your own swimwear and I think it’s a great idea. It is great to have the opportunity to wear something custom made so that there is less chances for us to be wearing the same swimwear at the swimming pool or beach.

At Surania, you have a wide range of styles to choose from which adapt perfectly to your body, your desires and your tastes. It allowing you to design your own bikini or swimsuit to your tastes and to manufacture the garments to your measurements. You can choose bikini, tankini, beach wear, mens wear and kids wear too!

For kids wear, there are more choices for girls than boys. For girls, you can choose to have a swimsuit, bottom, top and full bikini. Once you choose your piece, next you choose your style. There are six different styles to choose from. Ms C went for the style with ribbons on the side.

Next, you can choose the colours for the lace, ribbon and the swimwear! The website is easy to navigate. You can also view the back of the swimwear. Once you have selected choices, the configurator will show you the image of your customised swimwear. Bear in mind the colours on the site can be slightly different from the actual fabric. For us so far, it looks the same as what we expected.

Once you are happy with your customisations, you can either select simple or detailed measurements. I chose the simple measurement which requires you to input the their heights and ages. Then pay! It is that simple!

Ms C also made another swimsuit which is a different style and fabric too! This is her modelling in her swimsuit. She is so pleased with her design. I love the finish of the swimsuits and the quality of the fabric. The stitching is very neat and the fabric is comfortable.

As for Mr K, he has two different designs to choose from, either boxers or classic. He picked classic with a small pocket at the back. Boys have less choices on the colours/fabrics. Mr K loves red so he picked the plain red fabric. As for the pocket, he went for a different shade of fabric- white star with blue.

These boxer swim shorts comes with an inner lining, drawstrings and a Velcro pocket at the back. The material is slightly different from Ms C’s swim wear. The boys boxer materials are thinner but also easy to wash.

Overall, it was quick and straightforward to design. The website is quite self-explanatory. As this is made to order, you have to remember that it will take a while to receive it. On their site, they said it would be within 15 working days after you purchased, so leave plenty of time to order! They also ship worldwide! The cost of the swimwear is more than I would pay but it is money well spent.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

I really like this concept. Great for those of us who aren’t a standard size top and bottom
