My Little Pony Baby Cakes DVD Review

25 May 2015 by Eileen

Baby Cakes is My Little Pony Friendship is Magic’s new DVD and Digital Download which was launched today on 25th May 2015 in time for the start of the half term. Yet again, My Little Pony fans are not treated to 105 minutes of magical adventure as it also includes six different My Little Pony badges! Ms C was very excited and requested to have them all pinned on her chest!

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is based on the line of toys manufactured by Hasbro. We had also recently reviewed the Return of Harmony and My Little Pony May the Best Pet Win DVD.

My Little Pony Baby cakes

In this DVD, there are five episodes from Season 2 which aired in 2011/12. The episodes are:

  • Baby Cakes (Ep 13)
  • Hearth’s Warming Eve (Ep 11)
  • The Last Roundup (Ep 14)
  • The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 (Ep 15)
  • Read It and Weep (Ep 16)

Episode 12 Family Appreciation Day can be found in the May the Best Pet Win DVD. In the Baby Cakes episode, Mr & Mrs Cakes are in desperate need of a babysitter and Pinkie Pie volunteers. She soon realizes that babysitting the twins is much tougher than she had thought. Despite doing her best to entertain the twins they keep ending up in floods of tears. Pinkie Pie tries her very best and did a great job in the end!

The DVD continues with the 14th, 15th and 16th episodes from the 36 episode series but they are independent stories. This DVD is definitely worth it as usual as Ms C is totally engrossed with it and I didn’t hear a peep from her for the full 105 minutes! Ms C is a big fan of My Little Pony and she would definitely recommend it! It is available to buy in all good retailers and Amazon.
