Summer Activities A – Z: T

15 October 2014 by Eileen

I know Autumn is in full swing now but I’ve not long to go now with my Summer Activities A – Z! I started in July but have been playing catch-up since our holiday to Singapore. Here are the few T activities we did.

T for Tent

One of our favourite activities is to build a play tent. Ms C loves hiding herself inside the tent and play with her dolls.

T for Tooth Fairy Game

Mr K loves this Drumond Park Tooth Fairy game! He was so excited that he lost his two front teeth so that the tooth fairy could come and visit him!

T for Train

We took different types of train rides while in Singapore: Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT). Back in England, we also rode the steam train, tube and overground trains. There are so many different trains but our favourite has to be the LRT. It is big and clean!

This is the Singapore MRT map.

T for Turkey Leaf Craft

To do this craft, you need:

  • Ice cream sticks
  • Red, orange and brown papers
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue and tape
  • Leaves

Cut a tear drop shape on the red paper. You would need two red tear drops for the turkey’s beard. Cut a triangle shape on the orange papers for the turkey’s bill. The brown paper is for its body.

Stick the googly eyes, beard then the bill. Glue the body on to the stick. Select a few leaves and use the tape to tape the stems onto the ice cream stick.

T for Turtle

We went to the zoo and saw lots of underwater sea creatures and one to spot is the turtle! Did you know turtles can live for over 150 years?

Hello!

Welcome to ET Speaks From Home!

Hi, I’m Eileen — a mum of two teenagers, aged 18 and 16, and a passionate lifestyle blogger sharing snippets of family life, creativity, and culture since May 2012. My daughter lives with visual impairment, and our journey together has shaped much of the heart behind this blog.

What started as a small space to document family memories has grown into a vibrant corner of the internet where I share my love for cooking, crafting, DIY projects, Chinese culture, parenting, and honest product and YouTube reviews. Whether I’m creating festive crafts, exploring Chinese traditions, or trying out new recipes, I hope to inspire others through everyday moments from home.

Over the years, ET Speaks From Home has been recognised by several parenting and blogging communities, including:
