Little Live Pets Bird Review

21 July 2014 by Eileen

No time for pets? Hate cleaning? Maybe you could get your child a toy pet instead. Character Online have a range of little live pets – birds and butterflies. We have received Angelic Angela bird. There are eight to collect in this range. They are suitable for ages 5 and onwards.

She is predominately white with patches of aquamarine. Her body is made from a hard plastic but coated with felt materials but her beak, wings, feet and eyes are not coated with the felt. She requires two AAA batteries to work. It is very easy to operate. There is an on/off button on her chest with a microphone on the side.

There are a few ways to play with her. You can pet, talk to and play with her. She has a touch sensor on her back. Gently stroking her, she will whistle or tweet songs like London Bridge is falling down, and other many popular songs. The more you pet her, the happier she will be and she will tweet longer. She can tweet up to 30 different bird calls.

She comes with a record button on the front. It’s easy to press the button and get it to record. Record your voice after she tweets and she record about 10 seconds of voice. If you want a playback, just press the button again. Each time you record, it erase the previous recorded message. The volume of the bird is set and is at a good level. It is not too loud at all.

She will fall asleep after half an hour but you can wake her up at any time by pressing the button on its chest.

Ms C used it as her pirate parrot instead and pretended to be a pirate. Ms C is happily tweeting with her and make her stand on her shoulder. She loves playing with her but it does drive me mad after a while with all the tweeting. Ms C thinks it is interesting to record random sentences and talking to her. On the other hand, my son didn’t have any interest with the bird. I think this is because this is simply not a toy that he likes. So I think this is suitable for someone who loves bird and like to have interaction with it. The RRP of £9.99 is very reasonable for the electronic pet.

Disclosure: We have received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
