Enjoying family nights in

19 March 2014 by Eileen

Planning the ultimate family night in? Whether you’ve got a new baby in tow or if going out simply seems too much hassle or is out of budget, then you can enjoy a night of togetherness and serve up some good food without having to cook.

By ordering online you can stay warm and cosy, and still enjoy a night of fine dining without the need to leave home.  So go on and bin your old takeaway menus and order from Just EAT instead!

Enjoying family nights in

Games nights

Games nights are great ways to bring the family together as well as to bring out your competitive spirit. Whether you prefer gathering around the old-fashioned board with old favourites like Snakes and Ladders or Monopoly, or if you enjoy getting up and moving with new technology games for the Wii or Xbox, game nights are a great way to have fun as a family without having to go out and spend money on expensive activities.

With sports games, you can enjoy family fun in the privacy of your own home so that no-one else sees your failed serve or poor throw!

Movie nights

There’s no need to go to the cinema in this day and age. You can bring all the excitement of the big screen into your home with “smart” televisions complete with Ethernet or Wi-Fi capabilities or connect to the Internet using an HDMI cable. Online film providers showcase the latest movie releases or you can watch the latest movies at very affordable prices.

Today’s entertainment systems allow for the ultimate in home theatre technology with 3D viewing, Blu-Ray and surround-sound speakers offering crisp viewing and cinema-quality sound effects.

Themed movie events are always fun options with Disney nights or Western nights – whatever you fancy!

Pizza is always a perfect accompaniment when enjoying a good film and you can have it home delivered for a convenient, hot and tasty treat!

Activity nights

Activity nights are also a great way to enjoy a night of togetherness without the added expense. You can plan an evening of family fun with different themed events like painting or karaoke.

The kids can get creative by doing things like putting on a play or puppet show for the adults to enjoy. They can dress up and create sets or even make their own tickets to gain entry to the “show.” Don’t forget your video recorder to capture moments like these for memories to last a lifetime.

Nights in for families are excellent opportunities to snuggle up and enjoy some fun at home. With games, food and technology, there’s really no need to go out. So whether you want to spend time together solely as a family or invite some friends around for more of a party atmosphere, you’ll be sure to have a blast!

We love a good night in and particularly enjoy getting the board games out. Having a takeaway is always a bonus too!
