Doh Nutters by Drumond Park

2 October 2013 by Eileen

Brrraaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Brrraaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!  It is Elephantastic! Doh Nutters is a fast action, hilarious game that has sold well over a million copies! Doh Nutters is suitable for aged four and above for two to four players. It comes with four elephant masks, 12 plastic doughnuts and one playing board. The masks are very well made, good quality plastic with thick stretchy straps. It fits both children and adult well. The elephant trunks are made from soft plastic with ridges that enable the doughnut to stay on or may be not! The playing board is made from a thin cardboard with funny elephant printed.

This is quick and simple to play Once everyone wears their masks, the youngest player shouts start. Everyone needs to use only their trunks to scoop up all of their own coloured doughnuts as fast as possible. The winner is the first to get all the doughnuts.

I personally find it difficult to scoop up the doughnuts but my children are experts at scooping them up quickly! They are great for coordination and reflex. They also help strengthen your neck muscles! It does look simple but it is not very easy to scoop them up when there is peer pressure!

Both of my children have a lot of fun wearing the masks and using their trunks to fight. This is quite a limited play game but it has its own great expansion. You can use the masks for role play or fancy dress party. They can also be useful for other games or make up your own game! Like ‘catch the hoop’.
