Om Nom Cut The Rope Candy Monster Review

16 September 2013 by Eileen

Both of my children had been playing Cut The Rope since last year and completed the levels. Ms C especially loves to watch the video clips on the Cut The Rope app on my iPad. When we received the Om Nom Cut the Rope Candy Monster from Vivid Toys and Games, they were so excited! They couldn’t wait to get him out of the box. Om Nom is a friendly candy loving green monster who just loves candy. He is very soft and cuddly and requires 3 x LR44 battery which is included. They are suitable for aged 4 plus. He is very well made but only surface washable.

As you can see in the photo, Ms C is pulling the candy piece. When she releases it, Om Nom will wiggle with excitement and chomp the candy! Occasionally he will say well-loved expressions. Here is Ms C chomping away on Om Nom’s candy! Someone buy her a candy, please!

Om Nom also comes with a label that animates through an app. It is free to download Candy Flick and it is only available on the App store. Once downloaded, place the label on the floor and you will able to see Om Nom pop out on the screen. If you look at the photo closely, you can see Ms C was trying to catch Om Nom. She was amazed that Om Nom came alive! It is quite an easy game where they flip the candy to feed Om Nom. It is a simple interactive game and both kids had fun flipping the candy! The only downside is that you have to hold onto the iPad and make sure that the camera points at the label. Overall both of my children loved Om Nom and he will be well looked after! He does have limited usage but he is such a cutie that will sit nicely even on my desk!

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

That looks great, it’s amazing how all of these ‘App’ toys have taken off – my son loves the Angry Birds things.
