Open Very Carefully: A Book With Bite is a book written by Nick Bromley. The book is suitable for ages three to seven. It is illustrated by Nicola O’Byrne.
My first impression of this book is that it is a short but interesting book. It is very easy to understand the story. I still find it hard for my age (5 year old) to read a book by my own so my mum read this book to me.
This is suppose to be a classic story of the ugly duckling but it was hijacked by a crocodile. The crocodile eats up most of the words of the ugly ducking story. I then had to rock him to sleep to make him stop. Then ugly duckling drew a tutu on the sleeping crocodile. When he woke up, he got really angry and wanted to get out of the book. So I tried to shake him out but it didn’t work. In the end, he managed to munch through the page and make his way out of the book. I especially like the back of the book where I used the hole to put my arm through and scare my little sister. This book is fun to play with. I rate this book 4 stars out of 5.
