Little Dish Microwave food

25 July 2012 by Eileen

We have been a Little Dish Fan since 2009 when Ms C came along! They are a life-saving meal for a busy mum of two! I used to cook every single meal when I only had Mr K but when Ms C came along, it was impossible to work and cook for two fussy eaters at the same time and Little Dish came to the rescue. We had tried a few brands stocked by our local Tesco but Mr K loves Little Dish Microwave food. During 2009, we did complain to them that the carrots were under cooked and within a day, they replied to my email and sent me a few goodwill vouchers. I feel they have greatly improved since then. I was very happy with their that their customer service for speed and response.

Little Dish Microwave food

Little Dish is always our first choice whenever I do my weekly food shopping.  Even a full time mum loves to have a day off from cooking!  They’re stocked in our local Tesco but unfortunately they are not stocked at the Morrison in Lichfield.

Recently, their packs had a makeover and they are feature Little Dish Zoo Crew! For people who don’t know about Little Dish, they use 100% natural ingredients and never add salt or sugar.  They create every recipe in partnership with their nutritionist, and each Little Dish is taste tested by a team of tiny tasters before they let it out of the kitchen.  All of the meals are suitable for little ones 12 months plus, and can be ready to eat in minutes.

They are: Beef Lasagna, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Chicken Risotto, Chicken and Butternut Squash Pie, Fish Pie, Cottage Pie, Pasta Bolognese, Mild Chicken Korma, Pasta with Cheese, Peas and Broccoli Trees.

Last month, I filled out a short questionnaire and received a pair of kids shoes! Mr K was so happy to receive these red shoes and has been wearing it every day especially in this hot weather!

Mr K and Ms C had picked these as their favourite:

  • Chicken and Butternut Squash Pie: It is sweet and tasty!
  • Fish Pie: This is also my favourite buy as I don’t like to cook fish and it is a great way to get them to eat fish! The fish is in small cube form. Normally I will squash it and hide it in the potatoes. Ms C didn’t realised it and ate them all!
  • Cottage Pie: This is a classic dish!  The beef is eat to chew and swallow. Ms C is a very fussy chewer and she managed to eat it quick.
  • Pasta Bolognese: It is tasty and not oily.
  • Pasta with Cheese, peas and Broccoli Trees: There are lot of peas in it and Mr K loves eating them.

Inside of the packaging is something for children to colour in! Such a clever way of using the packaging again! If you would like to find out more information about Little Dish, please go to http://www.littledish.co.uk. You can find Little Dish in Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and on Ocado.com. I would rate Little Dish 5 stars out of 5! They are brilliant!
