Celebrating the #LittleThings Freixenet

Freixenet, the UK’s leading sparkling wine brand have been inviting the nation to celebrate the #LittleThings in Life. So they invited a few bloggers to join in and document the moments that give us that secret ‘yes’ feeling. Whether it’s grabbing the last Frozen toys, managing to save your toast from burning or finding the last car park space in an event! They are all worth celebrating!

Monkey Wellbeing Review

Going to hospital can be very daunting for children. Monkey is here to help explain it all through stories and activities. Monkey has a very interesting background as he was created by Helen Sadler, an ex-teacher, for her little girl when she faced major lung surgery.

Eye Journey: Mummy, I cant see it!

Parenting is never plain sailing nor like it says in the guidebooks. There are always ups and downs. It is always worrying when you child is not ‘normal’. Ms C has been diagnosed with myopia and astigmatism since she was two. Since then, we have been to the Samuel Johnson Community Hospital every two to three months for a check-up. Each time Ms C will say she can’t see when the word is too small. We have been seen by the consultant, optician and orthoptist.

Her journey to an Eye Test

Ms C has had her glasses since early April this year. It was not a very easy journey to this point especially when no one listened to you. It was around October last year that we noticed that she always squinting while watching TV or when we call her from afar. Most of our close family members are short sighted so it was one of the signs that she might have inherited this from us.
