Clinics in Germany

23 May 2023 by Eileen

Clinics in Germany provide treatment to patients from all over the world. First of all, these are people from developing countries with a low level of medicine, but residents of developed countries often come to Germany to get medical care faster or cheaper than in their native country. More and more foreign patients trust their health to German doctors because German clinics achieve phenomenal success in the treatment of even the most severe diseases. You are welcome to use the Booking Health service if you want to undergo your treatment in Germany. On our website, you can find the best clinics in Germany, see prices, schedule an appointment for your preferred dates, and get travel arrangement services.

Clinics in Germany

What types of clinics are there in Germany?

There are hundreds of large hospitals in Germany where the most modern procedures and surgical interventions are available. These can be general hospitals or highly specialized medical facilities. Hospitals also differ in the form of their ownership. These can be university, municipal, private, or church hospitals.

Almost all university hospitals are large medical facilities with a wide profile. All kinds of medical services are available there, including cancer treatment, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, endovascular or endoscopic procedures, etc. Dozens of departments and institutes operate in such hospitals. In addition to standard treatment methods, innovations are used here, and it is possible to take part in clinical trials.

Municipal hospitals also provide patients with high-quality services, have modern equipment, and offer lower prices. People therefore often come here to undergo routine procedures and operations: cure uterine fibroids, remove the appendix or gallbladder, select conservative therapy for diabetes mellitus, etc.

Private clinics may have a wide profile or be highly specialized. These medical facilities have comfortable conditions, shorter waiting times for the start of treatment, and often use non-standard procedures, for example, the destruction of prostate adenoma with water vapor or the treatment of uterine fibroids with high-intensity focused ultrasound. Many private centers are highly specialized. For example, these health facilities treat infertility and carry out IVF, perform urological and gynecological surgeries, interventions on the joints, plastic surgery, treat eye diseases, etc.

Church hospitals usually have a broad specialization. There are many medical fields represented at these hospitals. Great attention in such hospitals is paid to the quality of life of patients with chronic diseases, including chronic pain syndromes.

How to select a clinic for yourself?

Selecting a German hospital is not easy. However, the Booking Health service will be helpful for you, through which you can find a good hospital and make an appointment for your treatment. Just enter your diagnosis in the search bar, select a treatment method, and you will receive a list of clinics. By default, they are listed by rating. Nonetheless, if you wish, you can sort the hospitals by other parameters.

If you find it difficult to choose, our medical tourism specialists will help you. Please leave your request on the Booking Health website. Our company’s employees will contact you and advise on all issues. They will help you select a clinic that specializes in the treatment of a certain group of diseases and achieves the best results.

When you make your treatment appointment through Booking Health, medical services will have a lower cost. This is due to the lack of additional taxes for foreign patients. In addition, you will be insured against an increase in the price of the medical care program. You will be provided with insurance that will cover all medical expenses not covered by the program. Therefore, the cost of services will not increase, even if there is a need for additional procedures.
