Celebrating Chinese New Year with Balloon Time

Next week Thursday 19th February is the first day of Chinese New Year and also happens to be half term so we won’t have a Chinese club lesson next week. Therefore, we had our CNY party a week early to celebrate with all the children and parents.

How to inflate a balloon without blowing

Thanks to the Science4you Chemistry kit, we have learnt how to inflate a balloon without blowing it. This is one of the experiments listed in the booklet. Click here to check out our review. I have altered a few bits of materials you need.

Surprise! A Balloon in a Box! Review

Do you have any upcoming events to celebrate? How do you normally choose and send your gift? There are so many ways of sending your love to your loved one. It can be a present, a phone call or even a balloon in a box. Not heard of a balloon in a box? Me too! This is quite an unusual way of sending a gift!
What is a balloon in a box?
Your balloon will be wrapped, boxed and posted with your special message. They come in three cluster helium balloons inside a large box. It costs £17.95 plus delivery of £3.95.
How is the delivery?
We ordered it to arrive on Thursday and received it via Royal Mail. It is surprisingly huge but when I held it, it was so light!
Surprise in a box!
When I opened up the box, it was covered with a long piece of paper to prevent it from flying out. Once I took out the paper, the balloons surprised me! As Mr K loves his superheroes, he loves it! These balloons came at just the right time for his 6th birthday!

Small 23cm Ballzoon Review

Early this month, I won a Ballzoon through Toy Shop UK’s website! I couldn’t wait to open it up and share with my children. Ms C absolutely loves balls and balloons! Firstly, I had to insert the balloon into the material skin. The balloon can then be inflated with air or water until the material skin is tight. I prefer to use a hand pump which you can see on my photo. Next, the balloon neck is tied with a balloon clip, wrapped 3 times then pushed back on to the material skin. Within minutes it was ready to play! It is super lightweight. The children whack, bounce, squish and kick the Ballzoon! I have not dared filling it with water just in case it burst!
