A visit to Sutton Park

After much stormy weather, last Saturday, we finally had a beautiful morning that we decided to go for a walk in the park. We live within easy reach of Sutton Coldfield but have never been to Sutton Park before. Sutton Park is a large urban park. Most of the park is a National Nature Reserve and large parts are also a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Things we did in Bath with children

Last week, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by retracing our brilliant day with our children. It took us about two hours to drive to Bath. I have only driven around Bath once and that was 10 years ago. I do find the roads are quite complicated especially because of the one way system in some places, and also driving up and down the hills.

A Visit to Roman Baths for our 10th Anniversary

When we were first engaged, one of the first things we did was find a suitable wedding venue. We chose the Roman Baths for our wedding dinner because it’s an unusual place and I had been there to visit before and knew of its beauty. I fell in love with Bath, with its charming Georgian architecture, when I first visited in 2003 with friends and so marrying in Bath was a dream come true!

Christmas At Center Parcs with Friends

Merry Christmas everyone! I can’t believe Christmas has just come and gone so quickly! Earlier this week, we went to Center Parcs Woburn Forest resort with our friends for a short break. We had booked this holiday over a year ago so for many months, we didn’t really give it too much thought. But the week leading up to the holiday we got really excited about it, that it had finally come around.

Tamworth Annual Firework 2016

This was our third year attending the Tamworth Annual Firework event and every year it is packed full of activities and people! This year, it was again a spectacular fireworks display by the council and we will definitely be going again next year. The whole display normally last 20 minutes but best of all, it was free!

Emirates Aviation Experience & Air Line Review

The Emirates Aviation Experience and the Emirates Air Line are located at the North Greenwich tube station and are not far from the O2.  If you happen to be in London, wondering what to do, it is worth checking out!  This is the first of its kind globally featuring the world’s first public flight simulators and the changing view of the city over the Thames. You will see some of the capital’s most iconic buildings and attractions!

This half term, we were invited to a fun-filled day of story writing and drawing with award winning children’s author and illustrator duo, Sarah McIntyre and Philip Reeve.  You can read about some of their top tips for writing and drawing. Then in the afternoon, we were invited to experience the Emirates Aviation and take a ride on their Air Line cable across the Thames!  It was very easy to get there by the tube. Once we arrived at North Greenwich tube station, the location of the Emirate building was very clearly labelled.  Or you can ask the Emirates’ information counter for more details which is located on the ground floor.

Taiwanese Snack at Night Market in Taipei

One of the top things to do in Taipei is to visit their night market to try out the unique Taiwanese street foods/snacks. Taipei are not only popular for their foods, it is also great for cheap clothes shopping and playing their street games like catching fish/prawns, shooting balloons etc. The street is always packed with tourists and the local Taipei people too!

A trip to Houtong Cat Village, Taiwan

While I was researching what to do in Taipei, I can across a few bloggers who wrote about Houtong cat village. The reviews were quite mixed. Some people said it is quite boring while others enjoyed visiting the place. So I decided to see it for myself. What I didn’t plan for was the weather! It was raining “cats and dogs” on our visit which was not ideal! As you can imagine, if it rains, all the animals hide away. Anyway, we did get to see a few cutie cats, so read on!

A trip to Taipei 101 World Financial Center

If you go to Taipei, one of the places you have to visit is Taipei 101, which was formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center.  This building at the height of 508 metre, was once held as the World’s tallest until the completion of Burj Khalifa in Dubai in 2009.

Part of our relaxed “free and easy” trip was to do sightseeing and Taipei 101 is one of my top places to visit.  I often see it featured in Taiwanese drama shows so I’ve always wanted to see it for myself and check it out at night time!

Taiwan Trip From Taoyuan Airport to Hotel

Last week, I shared some useful tips that I picked up during our trip to Taiwan for first time travellers and this week I am sharing our journey from Taoyuan Airport to Park Taipei Hotel.  Later in the week, I will share with you the places of interests and their famous night markets in detail!

How to Travel Smart in Taipei for first timer

Last month, while visiting my family in Singapore, my husband and I booked ourselves a short trip to Taiwan.  During our visit to Taipei, Taiwan, we had so much fun trying out their local dishes and made good use of their free wifi internet service and many more.

Bosworth Water Park

Bosworth Water Park is a leisure and water park set in the Warwickshire countryside. This was our first ever visit after Mr C bought cheap vouchers to play crazy golf and have afternoon tea. We didn’t know what to expect, so we just drove there without much preparation in terms of clothing.
