Mercedes-Benz World Review

24 May 2017 by Eileen

Last week, we decided to visit Mercedes-Benz World which was about 20 minutes from where we were in Thorpe Park. This was our second visit and each time we can spent at least 1.5 hours exploring exhibitions, getting up close to legendary Mercedes-Benz vehicles and sitting in a few!

Mercedes-Benz World

Mercedes-Benz World is a facility open to the public at the historic Brooklands motor racing circuit, located in Weybridge, Surrey. Besides checking out their vehicles, you can also book in for the driving experiences. So far, we have not tried any of these experiences yet. Some of the experiences can be quite expensive so it would have to be a real treat.

The place is very easy to find and it is well signposted. Once we arrived, there were plenty of parking spaces. We then made our way to the building and headed towards the third level. Last time we went there, we booked our children the Little Learners experience. This time around, they were both too old for that but luckily they have the simulator experience.

The simulator experience is at the top floor and it wasn’t too busy but you do need to book when you get there. There are a range of simulator experiences and we opted for the micro experience for both our children. It costs £6 each for 12 minutes of driving in the stationary micro vehicles in front of the large TV screen. It is like going to an arcade! Ms C is just under the recommended 1.2 metres for this experience so Mr C sat in the micro vehicle with her. There is also the option to pop more cushions for her to drive on her own. Anyway, they both had a great time driving together.

We then walked around the building admiring the cars. Both of my children were so excited sitting inside the car and pretending to drive. Every time we turned around, they were in a different car checking out the interiors! The more expensive cars were all locked up but if you want to check it out, you can ask the sales assistants. Some of their cars are worth more than a house!

It is definitely a great family day out if you are passing by! We all enjoyed ourselves checking out the cars. There is also a short show in the cinema about the history of Mercedes Benz. They also have a café and merchandise store on the ground floor.
