Monstar Makes A Wish

2 November 2014 by Eileen

Monstar Makes A Wish is a book written by Steve Cole and illustrated by Pete Williamson. This is the red Early Reader and is the next step on your reading journey. It was released on 2nd October 2014 and published by Orion Books. This is a third brand-new full colour Early Reader story from DOCTOR WHO scriptwriter and Astrosaurs author, Steve Cole, about Monstar, the green furry monster who wishes a wish! Click to read his first book – Monstar Finds a Home and second book – Monstar the Superhero.

Monstar makes a wish book review

The book is paperback containing about 80 pages. The font comes in one consistent size. It contains beautiful full colour illustrations. It is divided into seven chapters. Each chapter contains a good amount to read by the children.

We had reviewed the first book a few months ago, which tells the story of how Monstar finds a home. Jon and Jen wanted to own a pet. Their parents who are scientists decided to invent a pet for them instead! So they invent a pet called Monstar who is a green fluffy pet with a brown patch in the shape of a star over one eye.

This is the third book and it tells the how Monstar finds a magic lamp in the Top Secret workshop. This is Mum and Dad’s latest invention and it grants you a wish. So be careful what you wish for as it does not always turn out to be great. There is always a side effect. So how do they sort this problem? Who came to save the day? Read to find out more!

Monstar Makes A Wish bookMr K was able to read it well for his age and enjoyed reading the book. The storyline is interesting and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend this range of books. It is available to buy in good bookshops and Amazon.

Disclosure: I received this book from the publisher for free. However, they have not paid me for this review, and they do not exercise any editorial control over my review or anything else on this site. We have included an Amazon affiliate link to the product. Looks like another great early reader book from Orion. We haven’t read any of the Monstar series but they look like fun stories.
