Moshi Monster Sea Life Centre

26 July 2014 by Eileen

The National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham is set to welcome a trio of Moshi Monsters, characters from an online virtual world which has captured the imaginations of 85 million children across the globe, from Saturday 19th July, to Sunday, 31st August 2014.

Katsuma, Poppet, and Monstro City’s number one Moshling conservationist, Buster Bumblechops, are on a mission to save our amazing marine creatures.

Last Saturday, we were invited to the event and we joined in to hunt for the missing marine Moshlings hiding at the underwater attraction. If you are successful in finding them, you will unlock Lubber the Whimsical Whale, a brand new Moshling exclusive to SEA LIFE and yours to keep the next time you visit moshimonsters.com. Moshi collectors can also swap Moshling collectable figures for favourites and rarities in the Moshling Swap Zone! Wish we knew about that beforehand! So remember to bring any of your collection to swap!

Young fans will also be given the chance to learn lots of fascinating facts about the underwater world when they volunteer for the ‘Moshi Marine Force’ and become a Buster Bumblechops Conservation Hero.

Also they are featuring a new 4D show – Happy Feet. Both of my children enjoyed the 15 minute show and the motions and effects were not too rough. So this is quite suitable for young children.

The National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham transports visitors to an amazing underwater world, where they get to see incredible sea life from all over the planet, from the coast of Britain and the chilly Antarctic, to the tropical waters of the Caribbean. Earlier this year, they had 12 new members! The Antarctic-themed enclosure is home to a colony of 12 Gentoo penguins that have flown over 11,000 miles from Auckland, New Zealand to make the Midlands attraction their brand new home. Read here for more details.

The aquarium is home to over 2,000 creatures, including the UK’s only hammerhead sharks as well as a rescued Giant Green Sea Turtle.

For further information or to pre-book tickets online before your visit please go to www.SEALIFE.co.uk/birmingham. Reduced prices are available for tickets booked in advance.

For regular news, updates and competitions, The National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham is also on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/sealifebirmingham and Twitter https://twitter.com/sealifebham. You can also keep up-to-date with what new resident, Ginny the Gentoo, has to say by following her on twitter at https://twitter.com/ginnygentoo.

Disclosure: We attended the VIP event at the Sea Life Centre for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
