Summer Activities A – Z: E

26 July 2014 by Eileen

Yesterday, the weather was so hot and sunny that we spent most of the morning having fun in the garden! To continue the alphabet for the summer activities, we are doing letter E.

E for Egg

We had scrambled egg with noodle soup for dinner. Yes, it does sound weird but Mr K prefers scrambled egg to fried egg. Sometime I cook scrambled egg in the microwave but I generally I prefer to use a pan to cook it for a better taste.

E for Egg and Vinegar Project

To do this science project, we used an empty glass jar, egg and a bottle of white vinegar. Place the egg inside the jar and fill it with white vinegar. Make sure you cover the whole egg with vinegar. Do look out for our blog post for the result!

E for Elephant

I hid two plastic elephants and made both children look for it. Then they both learnt how to spell elephant and draw an elephant.

E for Elephant’s Birthday Bells

Before bedtime, both of them read the Elephant’s birthday bells written by Carrie and David Grant. This book is great to listen together with the CD.

E for Excitement

We had invited our friends over to play and bought a new paddling pool! Later, we played the pumpaloons, water bombs and jump rocket tripe shotz in the garden. Unfortunately, the rockets didn’t last long as it was ruined within minute of playing.

E for Eye appointment

Ms C has on-going problem with her eye sight. We have been to numerous appointments but we still don’t have an answer to what the issue is with her eyesight. We have to additional trips to the hospital for further tests.

e for eye appointmentNow we are working through letter F and I look forward to reporting back!
