Kelly’s of Cornwall Ice Cream Map

6 July 2014 by Eileen

With the summer holidays approaching, Kelly’s of Cornwall has created an Ice Cream Excursion Map! Yes, a map that features ice cream parlours, cafes, hatches and recommended picturesque locations including Cornish woodlands and beautiful beaches across the county of Cornwall. To view and download the map, click here: http://www.kellysofcornwall.co.uk/ice-cream-map.

Kelly’s has been producing Cornish ice cream for over 100 years in Bodmin, Cornwall. They use only the finest dairy ingredients, including lashings of Cornish whole milk and Cornish Clotted cream, from dairy cows grazing on Cornwall’s lush green pastures. They are available from selected supermarket stores nationwide.

The range includes:

  • Clotted cream ice cream 1 litre
  • Clotted cream & Honeycomb ice cream 1 litre
  • Clotted cream & Strawberry ice cream 1 litre
  • Clotted cream & Raspberry ice cream 1 litre
  • Clotted cream & Blackcurrant ice cream 1 litre
  • Clotted cream & Chocolate ice cream 1 litre
  • Cornish Dairy Vanilla ice cream 1 litre & 2 litre

Each 1 litre tub has an RRP of £3.99.

We had previously tried clotted cream with honeycomb and strawberry. In fact, the strawberry is one of favourite ice creams. I have now bought the blackcurrant to try out. Again, it didn’t disappoint! It is very creamy with fruity bits. We all love it! The ice cream has a wonderfully smooth, velvety texture. I would highly recommend it to anyone. They are slightly expensive than average but I think it’s worth it for a premium product.

Also ice cream does not always need to be served with a cone or chocolate sauce. You can serve a scoop of Kelly’s Clotted Cream ice cream on top of a hot chocolate or even a shot of espresso, to recreate the classic Italian dessert Affogato. Or with hot desserts that go beautifully with ice cream, including toffee apples, rhubarb crumble, treacle tart & bread and butter pudding.

Or cover your sponge cake in ice cream, which in turn is covered in meringue. There is a list of recipes on Kelly’s of Cornwall website that you can try out!

I love Kellys ice cream and especially the clotted cream one. It goes well with a homemade crumble!
