Shock Doctor Tennis Elbow Strap Review

5 July 2014 by Eileen

Mr C is a keen sportsman and loves playing badminton at least twice a week. He does get various aches and pains though partly due to old injuries and partly due to growing old. Checking through his kit bag, there’s a knee strap, back strap, wrist strap and tennis elbow strap! So we were delighted to be sent this Shock Doctor Tennis Elbow Strap for review.

Shock Doctor have a range of sports protection products to ensure any aches and pain don’t stop your mobility and active lifestyle. This elbow strap is to help align and support minor to moderate elbow injuries. This pressurised compression technology provides therapeutic relief to jump-start the healing process.   The strap comes in one size to fit all. The air cushion padding provides even pressure to relieve tendinitis pain. The terry lined Lycra® bind together to offer long lasting comfort and protection. This strap is latex free.

This is what Mr C thinks about this product:

I used the strap during a badminton club night. The strap is easy to put on and to tighten. It felt comfortable during warm up while going through all the shots. The big test would be during a match though as I would be sweatier and moving more rapidly. I’m pleased to say it really delivered. I forgot I had it on during the match, which is exactly what you want – unrestricted movement. It didn’t slip and stayed exactly where I wanted it, applying even pressure over the affected area with that little cushion of air. My tennis elbow injury is currently quite mild at the moment and it certainly helped relieve that pain. The only downside is that the strap is hand-wash only but I can live with that. The RRP of £17.99 is about market rate. All in all, a really nice product that I would recommend.
