TOMY Johnny Tractors and Friends Review

31 May 2014 by Eileen

The TOMY John Deere pre-school range is perfect for engaging pre-school (18 months to 3 years old) children in farm play.  This collection of non-scale, tactile soft-touch plastic toys comes packed with many features such as lights, sounds or special rubber finish.  The durable chunky models are ideal for small hands and the cute characters are sure to be a huge hit with toddlers.

Although both my children are too old, they are still great for farm role play or even you could ask the children a few questions about the toys.

Suggested questions:

  • What sound does a tractor made?
  • What does this tractor do?
  • How many animals are there on the tractor?

TOMY Johnny Tractors and Friends County Fair Wagon Ride

County Fair Wagon Ride

This County Fair Wagon Ride comes with push button activated animal sounds like cow, horse, sheep etc. and carnival music. This fun and colourful pull-along tractor has a soft rubbery finish body and two trailers complete with rotating hay bale feature and pigs that wiggle as the trailer moves. It is well made and chunky which is great for toddlers. It requires two AA batteries which are included and there is an on/off switch next to the battery compartment. I would highly recommend this as this is a really fun toy for younger children and is great value.

TOMY Johnny Tractors and Friends Farm Adventure Playset

Farm Adventure Playset

This cow farm adventure playset is one of the three new fun farm sets launched in February 2014. Each different farm vehicle and attachment features easy roll along wheels and little details that make all the difference when it comes to fun farm play, and comes with its own chunky farm animal included – a cow, a horse, or a pig.

Our playset comes with a soft touch cow, tractors with rake and 2 short and 4 long farm fencing to create a mini farmyard. This is a lovely small set that I’m sure all toddlers would love. The quality is superb but the fence is not very easy to unclip. So younger children might need a hand opening the fence.

As toddlers grow their farms they will want to add to their collection with more farm vehicles. So do check out these farm toys out. It is available to buy now and the range includes Johnny Tractor, Allie Gator, Corey Combine, the Big Scoop John Deere Excavator and Monster Treads.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
