Host your own Family Quiz Night is a brand new all-inclusive quiz game from Cheatwell Games. This board game comes with 1,200 questions, which is ideal for after-school, holidays, nights and rainy days and it’s a game that allows everyone to join in the fun! The questions are cleverly designed with two sets of questions on each card so that children and adults have an equal chance of winning. It is suitable for aged eight and above, for two players or more.
The game comes with a playing board, 8 decks of question cards, 6 playing counters, a die and instructions. The objective of the game is to be the first player or team to reach the Finish square wins the game.
The eight topics are movies, history, pot luck, music, TV, people, science & nature and geography. Each card contains a multiple-choice question for younger players and a more challenging question for adults. For older children and teens, the same question can be used but without the multiple choice options. This game can be played individually or as kids vs adults in teams.
To play this game, place everyone’s playing pieces on the Start square to start. The youngest player always starts first. Each player takes turns to answer questions from the categories shown on the board they landed. If they answer correctly, they will roll the die and move to the next square. If they answer incorrectly, they will remain where they are and the turn is over.
We all found it fun to play and were all very engaged throughout! Surprisingly, it is not always adults that win the game – children with great quiz skills can win this game effortlessly! You will be surprised how challenging this game is! I was stuck in the same category for at least 4 turns before I was able to move on.
