This summer, Morrisons is helping us to get ready for the back to school journey! From school uniform essentials to PE kit staples, Nutmeg’s Back to School pieces start from just £2 and include clever design ideas for durability and ease-of-dress. All clothing in the Nutmeg children’s wear range is also covered by Morrisons’ 200 day ‘no quibble’ guarantee which covers rips, spills and outgrown pieces, assuring parents that school uniforms will survive the wear and tear of the playground.
All Nutmeg pieces are created with ‘thoughtful details’ and the Back to School 2017 range is no different. It sports Teflon coating, bobble resistant fabric and adjustable waist bands, ensuring durability and comfort to last the year. The range is available for aged 4 to 13 and it is available in stores now!
This is Mr K (9 years old) wearing the Unisex red sweatshirt (£3) and 2 Pack Charcoal Trousers (£10) for aged 10 – 11.
The sweatshirt is slightly too big for him but I thought washing and a hot tumble dry would shrink it. Surprisingly, it didn’t. It is also proof that that the sweatshirt is able to withstand the heat and stay in shape. They promise that the colour will stay bright wash after wash! I guess time will tell!
I love the quality for these trousers. They have Supercrease for easy care and a robust Teflon coating so they are made to last. There is an adjustable waist strap with button and secure hem to allow them to grow. They can be machine washed, tumble dried and in the washes that we have done, they have come out crease free. I also love the DuPont Teflon on the inside of the knee area to make it extra hardwearing.
Now it’s Ms C’s turn (8 years old) to show off her new outfit. She is wearing the grey butterfly print pinafore and red knit cardigan for aged 8 – 9. The grey pinafore comes with a butterfly zip and the cardigan is made from 100% pure cotton. Both pinafore and cardigan are very soft to touch and comfortable to wear. It is perfect for when the weather turns chilly. It is suitable for machine wash and tumble dry.
Next Mr K is wearing the 2 Pack Short Sleeve White T-shirt (£4) with black PE shorts. They are both very comfortable to wear.
Here Ms C is wearing the 2 Pack Short Sleeve White T-shirt for girls (£3.50), black skirt with short and Plimsolls. They are all comfortable to wear. I have never been a big fan of skirts with shorts as it might restrict the leg movement. But overall it give the girls plenty of space to move around the legs. The plimsolls are well made with slip resistance and non-marking rubber soles so your child can safely do a hop, skip and a jump. The size 11 fits her well. With the big Velcro straps on the plimsolls, they are so easy for Ms C to hold and strap it tightly. It is great value for money and should last a long time.
This was not our first time trying the Nutmeg clothes range and as before, we are impressed with the quality of this latest set of clothing and the prices are very reasonable.
Morrisons launched Nutmeg, its first ever own brand clothing range, in March 2013. Since then the business has grown and by October 2016 Nutmeg had arrived in all Morrisons stores. Now, as of 27th February 2017, Nutmeg’s very first women’s collection is available in 50 Morrisons supermarkets. The range has been inspired and led by customers who said they wanted to see a collection with the same quality and attention to detail as the children’s ranges – clothes that are fashionable, easy to wear and ready for whatever the day may bring.
Have you bought uniforms yet? Why not try out Nutmeg’s range and see for yourself!
