Hasbro Fantastic Gymnastics game is a fun and unique game that is suitable for aged eight and above. It can be played solo, head-to-head, or you can challenge friends to a tournament. Be warned that this game can get very competitive!
This comes with a gymnast figure, high bar base, 2 high bar supports, landing mat and instructions (including tournament bracket). Adult assembly is recommended. It only take a few seconds to set up and it is best to play this on the floor or flat surface areas. We did play this on the carpet which also works but the pieces can easily detach and it is not very sturdy. I love that after play, the pieces can be disassembled and placed back into the box. This game requires 4 AA batteries which are not included.
The objective of the game is to flip the gymnast figure onto the landing and be the first to score 100 points to win. The game is all about getting your timing right. You have to time your speed and rhythm to gain momentum to flip the gymnast figure around the high bar. At the right moment, hit the release button to let him fly, and try to stick the perfect landing. You might think that this is very easy but it is not! Getting the timing right has already put some of us to shame! The trick is wait until the gymnast figure’s legs are in a backswing position. Think about how it feels to pump your legs on a swing. Press and hold the red button to release the gymnast at the right moment!
Overall this is a great party game and also good for solo play. We all enjoy playing this game and would highly recommend it. It is available to play in good toy shops and Amazon.
