LEGO Scooby-Doo Haunted Hollywood Movie

31 October 2016 by Eileen

Happy Halloween everyone! Last week, we had a fabulous Halloween sleepover watching Scooby-Doo and his gang in their first Lego movie! LEGO Scooby-Doo Haunted Hollywood Movie is a full length, animated movie which is available to buy from high street stores and Amazon.

Thanks to Warner Bros, Character Options, Rubies and Official Panini for their lovely Halloween bundle! This Scooby plush from Character Options is small enough to take him out and comes with extra soft cuddy fabric! He is a very cute doggy!

We also have the Rubies’ Masquerade Scooby-Doo onesies for Mr K.  He is wearing the medium size which is just okay for him now. It is an all-in-one jumpsuit with character headpiece.  This is such an adorable onesie! The materials feel great and it looks so authentic!  Mr K adores it!

During our Halloween sleepover, we had a flick through the Official Scooby-Doo! magazine. It is packed with monster fun and features a specially-themed activity section filled with mysteries that need solving. Mr K enjoyed sticking stickers, reading the comics strips and solving the puzzles!  It didn’t take him long to complete the whole magazine!

Now let’s talk about the movie!  This is their first ever LEGO movie and I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed with the quality of the animation!  I love all the characters in their LEGO form!

This is a 72 minute long movie and the story is set in a LEGO world.  It follows Scooby-Doo (voice of Frank Welker) and the gang as they team up to investigate another mystery.  After Scooby and Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) win a burger-eating contest, the gang are invited on a tour of Hollywood’s Brickton Studios, famous for producing classic monster movies. But when they get there, they discover the owner, Chet Brickton (James Arnold Taylor), is being forced to sell the studio because his latest features are being sabotaged by ghostly monsters.

Instead of being scared though, both of my children were roaring with laughter!  It’s a hilarious film.  Both of them love the scene where they are helping out to shoot the movie and watching them accidentally hit one another.

So come and join Scooby, Shaggy, Velma (Kate Micucci), Daphne (Grey Griffin) and Fred (Welker) to solve the mystery before Brickton Studios is forced to close its doors forever! I would recommend this DVD to anyone! It is great fun to watch together!
