Khan Academy Kids App:

Aimed at kids aged between 2 and 7 years old, this is a fun-filled app, with plenty of different subjects to choose from. Your kids can learn phonics, reading, math, and English. Some activities focus on emotional development and even yoga.

Daisy The Dinosaur:

Using this application young kids can learn coding basics. Daisy The Dinosaur is simple to use, children are challenged to make the dinosaur dance, with the help of simple coding challenges.

  1. Tech-based toys

Using tech-based toys, parents can help their children to learn many different technology-based skills. Here are a few toys which can help your kids to learn:

Osmo Creative Starter Kit:

If your children have drawing they’ll love the Osmo Creative starter kit. The kit focuses on science subjects, using arts activities and creative games. Retailers suggest that the kit is suitable for children aged between 5 and 10 years old.

This toy is a ‘robot ball’, powered by an app. It’s an incredibly popular STEM toy for children. If you’re looking for a unique toy to teach your children new skills, the Sphero Mini is a great shout.

Code & GO Coding Robot Mouse:

A super fun game to help kids learn about programming. In this fun-filled game, your kids get to program a blue toy mouse, exploring mazes and tunnels to collect cheese!

  1. Wearables

If you’re keen to help your kids learn, why not consider investing in a few wearable devices? One of the most popular wearables for kids is the Garmin Vivofit jr.2. It’s a fitness device that focuses on characters from Marvel, Disney, or Star Wars. To encourage your child to stay active, wearables are a great shout. These are available at a range of prices so it’s worth considering your budget before you start shopping.

Supporting your child’s learning journey:

As you can see there are lots of different ways that you can help your kids to learn from home. With the help of tech devices it’s easy to teach your kids new skills. Of course, learning isn’t just about technology. There are many other ways that you can support your child’s education including:

  • Speak to your child’s teachers, find out which topics they need extra support with.
