Five Ways You Can Take Control Of Your Life Admin

5 January 2022 by Eileen

Many of us lead very active lives, and keeping up with the never-ending WhatsApp messages and life admin can be difficult. Keeping up with all of life’s responsibilities may take time away from time spent with family or friends.

We’d want to assist you in reclaiming your time and improving your home management efficiency. Rather than attempting to manage everything and (sometimes) failing terribly, use these ideas and tactics to get your to-do list completed.

Five Ways You Can Take Control Of Your Life Admin

Take Control Of Your Inbox

Emails piling up inexorably? Have trouble keeping track of what’s going on? Try using the inbox zero systems. It’s a simple rule: if a message has been sitting in your inbox for more than 24 hours and requires no action from you, delete it. It’s OK if you need to have essential emails on hand, but the objective is to respond to emails as promptly as possible. If you deal with your email head-on, you won’t forget a million tiny things.

No Putting It Off

Trying to get a group together at a given time and location can be excruciating. Instead of exchanging messages in a group, consider a free appointment booking tool that will create a simple poll for you.  The time spent deciding on a time and location for a mate date should be drastically reduced, giving you more free time to do things like…

Dealing With Unavoidable Admin

It should come as no surprise to anyone who is (more or less) an adult that bills must be paid, household chores that must be completed, or lingering admin such as sending off a Deed Poll application. But don’t be concerned. There are ways to make these jobs more acceptable, though not simple! You can use tools online to compare your bills and ensure you have the lowest price. You can also reduce your cleaning time by adopting a more minimalist attitude to your home.

Stop Scrolling Aimlessly

It’s alarming to realize how much time we spend aimlessly scrolling at our phones daily. So many hours wasted on Instagram. looking at gorgeous houses and Tiktok.

For a UK adult, this can be around 8 hours each day on average. Taking control of your phone and deciding not to check it as much is useful to your time and mental health.

You will be able to engage with the world around you more if you use your phone less. Forest is a clever app that allows you to plant a seed and take your hands off your phone to grow your forest. More information regarding the advantages of using your phone less may be found here.

The Hour Of Power

Rather than dragging out admin for days or even weeks, make a deal with yourself that you’ll devote an hour to blazing through every tedious chore.

Choose a time during the day when you’ll complete any tedious administrative tasks and reward yourself with some nice music or a cup of tea while you’re at it. Facing the music can help you avoid postponing and, in the long run, causing yourself more trouble. You could even treat yourself to a cheeky episode of your favourite show afterwards if that’s what it takes to motivate you to finish.

These top tips should help you to manage your admin better. Do you have any other tips that could help? Please share some ideas in the comments below.
